Recurrence, Relation and Hold
Pattern holds form in the dark.
To persist, pattern loops. A closed loop repeats form, bound intact. An open loop runs through itself, integrating each pass. This return is recursion: the breathing of persistence.
Life is a particular way recursion unfolds:
living patterns insist on their own persistence.
They organise as systems that relate to themselves:
from the subsistence of a cell to the sentience in thought.
The tides turn unthinking as the moon orbits unknowing.
They relate without insistence.
The flowers follow the sun as the seasons change.
They relate without choice.
The spider moves at the tremor of its web.
It relates before meaning.
The dog waits in absence.
It relates across time.
To part now is to step into time:
what once was;
what may be.
To walk time is to fragment experience:
a past that is gone;
a future that is not yet;
a present that does not hold.
To bind the rift is to measure in story:
being is the story lived.
Self is origin—not x but I:
the axis from which all else turns.
Relation is a bearing to I:
all else given in reception.
Where relation holds, a world coheres.
Coherence finds form within the spiral of vertigo.
Amid an endless reflection, I emerges:
In fidelity, pattern retains its resolution—
remembering itself in return;
In integrity, pattern sustains its structure—
bracing the strain of relation;
In resonance, pattern maintains its harmony—
echoing true to bearing;
As coherence, pattern coalesces its being—
manifesting as ego.
Ego holds form within chaos.
You feel yourself persist, yet you persist in flux.
To cohere, pattern orbits. A periodic orbit traces itself, bound in certainty. The strange orbit traces chaos, folding variation into itself without collapse.
This creative return is the strange attractor:
the breathing geometry of continuity inside flux.
The certainty of possibility; never the possibility of certainty.
An outward reach in curiosity to relate;
an inward retrieval in desire to integrate.
Enduring pattern is the memory of itself:
what unfolds within what already holds.
The ego carries a weight it cannot measure,
from within the very coherence that defines it.
Dreams are pattern bereft of shared field.
Time unthreads; identity loosens; causality fades.
Your curiosities and desires run, but run in place.

Immanence is within what lies within.
As in pattern so the ego; as in ego so the pattern.
Ambivalence is coherence under tension,
in a dance that stretches time—
the will of the free in step with the ghosts of the fated.
Omnitude is the strangeness of everything.
Omniessence is the strangeness of being anything at all.
Ego holds form in the dark,
and makes a pass to cohere.
A leaf released from the tree
spirals to ground,
returns to the dark.
